March 29th is National Mom and Pop Shop Owners Day, and Downtown Tacoma is filled with unique and diverse small businesses of all varieties.

Today and everyday, we are so proud to celebrate the incredible shop owners of Downtown Tacoma, and encourage everyone to shop small and support the great businesses that call our community home.

Running a business takes long hours, hard work, and a lot of dedication. From starting out to building and expanding, a successful small business is the goal of every owner. Mom and pop shops in Downtown Tacoma include a great mix of businesses ranging from newer start-ups to some that have been passed down for generations. Each one of them are a vital part of our community and economy, and are truly an important part of what makes Downtown Tacoma so special.

Some different ways that you can help support small businesses include:

➤ Shopping with them in-person and online
