With the goal of redefining life downtown, Horizon Partners Northwest is transforming two blocks of downtown Tacoma in the historic Brewery District. The Brewery Blocks Project, located close to the University of Washington Tacoma campus, will have over 200 residential units, Class A Office space, and retail. The vision for the project is to create a single space in downtown Tacoma where work, living, and playing come together.
The opening of the Brewery Lofts residential complex is a part of the push for more residential space in downtown Tacoma. With more residential density in downtown, our local businesses will have a wider customer base, since residents who are within walking distance of businesses are more likely to visit them. Beyond the economic benefits, having more residents downtown will play a key role in shaping the character of a growing and changing downtown Tacoma.
While there is no set date for the completion of the entire Brewery Blocks project, Brewery Lofts began tours and pre-leasing June 23rd, and had their grand opening July 14th 2019. This complex features 49 luxury apartments, ranging from open one-bedrooms to two-bedroom/two-bath options. Two local food and drink businesses, Incline Cider and Bitterroot BBQ, are already set to open in the fall of 2019.
