For more than 30 years, the Downtown Tacoma Partnership (DTP) has been devoted to keeping Downtown Tacoma safe, clean, and welcoming since our organization’s inception in 1988.
Since then, the DTP Clean Team has removed more than 3 million pounds of trash from the streets of Downtown Tacoma, which averages out to over 100,000 pounds of litter and debris being swept up by this caring crew each year.
Together with the Tacoma Pierce County Chamber of Commerce, our Board of Directors, and members of the community, we celebrated the Clean Team and their shiny new street sweeper with a ribbon cutting ceremony on June 1st outside McMenamins Elks Temple.
After giving our hard-working staff a well deserved round of applause, the community hopped into our new clean machine to snap some photos before it drove away with our mission at top of mind: Keeping Downtown Tacoma safe, clean, and welcoming.
