Summer might be winding down, but downtown’s Farmers Market is still going strong.

Many locals aren’t aware that the Broadway Farmers Market was Tacoma’s very first farmers market. For the past 33 years, this vibrant marketplace has called Downtown Tacoma home, offering only the best quality of goods and gifts from the heart of the Theater District.

While a number of local farmers markets have wrapped up operations for the season, Downtown Tacoma’s Broadway Farmers Market will continue service through the end of October.

Now is the perfect time to browse their colorful assortments of locally-grown flowers, fresh in-season produce, and other artisan goods like crusty breads, craft ciders, and several varieties of snacks. The market is also a great place to find gifts ranging from handmade candles and soaps, to quilts, toys, and even gift cards that can be spent at the Tacoma Farmers Market!

With fall just around the corner, soon market goers will be able to get their hands on fall florals and pumpkins before the season wraps up until spring.

While you’re shopping for ingredients, don’t forget to grab a bite to eat from one of the tasty hot food vendors like Burrito Boy, Cut the Crepe, Galileo’s Pizzeria, Gateway to India, and Teriyaki Steak Sandwich.

Visit the Broadway Farmers Market from 10am – 2pm each Thursday from May – October. You can learn about the vendors and more by visiting the Tacoma Farmers Market website here.
