Downtown Tacoma is now home to a world-class whisky and spirits shop by the name of McCallum & Sons Whisky Co. We recently had the privilege of meeting with owner Glen McCallum to learn more about the new endeavor and officially welcome them to Downtown Tacoma.

Stepping into McCallum & Sons located at 1115 A Street you are met with a level of elegance that rivals that of any of the great bottle shops in cities across the world. A perfect blend of old world and modern, dark but perfectly lit. Balanced like a fine whisky. The shop offers bottles from all over the globe but has a particular emphasis on Scotch, a personal passion of the owner. McCallum & Sons will also soon offer public and private tastings to introduce customers to the wide world of fine whisky.

McCallum & Sons is a dream come true for Glen who met his wife Maxine while serving in the military. The duo spent time traveling Europe and experiencing bottle shops that served as inspiration for the newly opened McCallum & Sons. The name sounds like a whisky itself. McCallum is Scottish and the sons represent Glen and Maxines 3 boys.

Glen & Maxine are excited to be a part of Downtown Tacoma. When we asked where he thinks Tacoma is going, he simply responded, “Up!” Beyond the whisky, McCallum & Sons offers other varieties of spirits as well.
