It’s the middle of August and it’s easy to feel like summer is coming to an end. If you have spent anytime around the Puget Sound you know there is plenty of summer left to have. We created this guide to the best outdoor dining options in Downtown Tacoma so you can seize these summer days.

It also happens to be super convenient that in the midst of this global pandemic, you can only eat with up to 5 friends outside. Downtown Tacoma has so many options for you to do just that. So grab your besties, put on your favorite summer outfit and face mask and hit the streets to visit one of these outdoor dining options in downtown.

The Patio at Alma Mater

The Patio is Alma Mater’s new counter-service outdoor restaurant. They are open Wednesday to Sunday from 9am to 8pm. Visit them on the web here or in person at 1322 Fawcett Street.

7 Seas Beer Garden

7 Seas recently launched their outdoor community beer garden. They have various local breweries on tap and food from 3uilt. They are open Friday to Sunday from 2pm to 9pm. Visit them on the web here or in person at 2101 Jefferson Ave.

Dystopian State Brewing

Tucked away on Baker Street, Dystopian State is the latest downtown business to add outdoor seating. You can enjoy a beer outside this weekend at Dystopian Thursday-Friday from 5-10pm and Saturday 12-10pm. Visit them on the web here or in person at 611 S Baker Street.

En Rama

En Rama is no stranger to outdoor seating and is a fan favorite on these summer days. You can reserve a table on their outdoor patio or cross your fingers as a walk-in. To book a reservation click here. They are open Tuesday to Thursday from 4pm to 8pm and Friday and Saturday from 4pm to 10pm. Visit them in person at 1102 A Street.

The Forum

Another veteran to outdoor seating, The Forum is open Monday to Sunday from 11am to 10pm. You can visit them on the web here or visit them in person at 815 Pacific Ave.

The Harmon

After a day of socially distant shopping along Pac Ave, unwind for a beer and a bite on the patio at The Harmon. They are open Monday to Sunday from 11am to 8pm. Visit them online here or in person at 1938 Pacific Avenue.

Incline Cider House

With their newly expanded Curbside Cafe, Incline Cider is ready to host you and your friends outside. Incline Cider is open Wednesday to Friday from 2pm to 8pm, Saturday from 12pm to 7pm and Sunday from 12pm to 6pm. Visit them on the web here or in person at 2115 S C Street.

Indochine

We love sitting outside at Indochine on Pacific Avenue. Who doesn’t like Thai food on a summers night? You can enjoy Indochine Tuesday to Sunday from 4pm to 9pm. Visit them at online here or in person at 1924 Pacific Avenue.

McMenamins Elks Temple

McMenamins Elks Temple helped pave the way for new outdoor dining rules in Downtown Tacoma. They are open Sunday to Thursday from 2pm to 10pm and Friday and Saturday from 2 to 11pm. You can visit them online here or in person at 565 Broadway.

The Office

Since most of us are working from home, you might as well go to The Office. The Office is open Monday to Sunday from 3:00pm to 10pm. Visit them on the web here or in person at 813 Pacific Avenue.

The Matador

We can’t think of a combination better than nachos and the patio at The Matador. Go sit outside and enjoy the Matador from Monday to Sunday from 12am to 12pm. Visit them online here or in person at 721 Pacific Avenue

Mexico Magico

It’s as simple as this. Sunshine and Margaritas. Go enjoy the patio at Mexico Magico. They are open Monday to Thursday from 11:00am to 9:00pm, Friday 11am to 10:00pm, Saturday 3pm to 10:00pm. Visit them online here or in person at 1128 Broadway.

Pho Tai

One of the newcomers to Downtown Tacoma. Enjoy Pho Tai from Monday to Saturday from 10:30am to 5:00pm. Visit them online here or in person at 112 South 9th Street.

Pita Pit

Pita Pit is the perfect place to grab some lunch or dinner and sit outside. They are open Monday to Thursday from 10:30am to 8:00pm, Friday and Saturday from 10:30am to 3am. Visit them online here or in person at 921 Pacific Avenue.

Wooden City

If you want to sit outside at Wooden City, we highly suggest getting there early. Make sure to check out their new expanded outdoor dining. You can enjoy Wooden City Wednesday to Sunday from 4pm to 8pm. Visit them online here or in person at 714 Pacific Avenue.

Zeeks Pizza

Enjoy a slice (or two) of Zeeks Pizza in their new sidewalk seating. It’s the perfect place to people watch. Zeeks Pizza is open Monday to Sunday from 11am to 10pm. Visit them online here or in person at 1702 Pacific Avenue.
