Mark Your Calendar! August 2: Downtown Tacoma Block Party
Summer’s biggest celebration is just around the corner! Mark your calendars for the 4th Annual Downtown Tacoma Block Party on Sunday, August 2, from 1–7 PM on Broadway between 9th and 11th Streets.
This free, family-friendly event brings the community together for an afternoon of live music, local food vendors, a beer garden, shopping with Tacoma Sunday Market, interactive activities, and fun for all ages. This year’s lineup also includes line dancing with Steel Creek, free skateboarding lessons with Alchemy Skateboarding, a Kids Zone hosted by Greentrike, live mural painting with Spaceworks Tacoma, and so much more.

Host Your Event at Theater Square
Located in the heart of Downtown Tacoma’s Theater District, Theater Square is a vibrant outdoor gathering space that hosts everything from markets and performances to community celebrations and special events.
Owned by Pierce Transit and managed by the Downtown Tacoma Partnership, the plaza is available to reserve for public events and activations. If you’re interested in bringing your event to Theater Square, reservations are required and can be requested through our online application process.
