As our economy beings to reopen across the state, our counties are following Governor Inslee’s Safe Start Program for a phased reopening. Currently, Piece County is in Phase 2 of that program. With a recent increase in COVID-19 cases across the state, the Governor has put a pause on the phased reopening until at least July 28th. For the time being Downtown Tacoma will remain in Phase 2 of the Safe Start Program.

What that means for visiting Downtown Tacoma is that our restaurants, retailers and your other favorite businesses either remain closed or are opened at a reduce capacity. For those businesses that are open here is what you can expect.

Beyond our individual business, at the Downtown Tacoma Partnership we have added regular weekly cleanings of high touch areas in the public realm to our already comprehensive cleaning services. Our goal is to ensure that we are keeping our community safe by keeping Downtown Tacoma clean, safe and welcoming.

Please remember if you are planning on visiting Downtown Tacoma, mask up, keep your distance and stay home if you don’t feel well. Thanks for doing your part in keeping our community safe and our businesses open in this capacity.
